How to Upload an Unsubscribe Recipient List in MSG91

Step 1: Navigate to the Suppression List

  1. Log in to your MSG91 account.

  2. On the left-side menu, go to Email > Suppressions.

  3. Click on the Unsubscribed tab.

Step 2: Upload an Unsubscribe Recipient List

  1. Click on the "Upload Recipient" button at the top right.

  2. Select the Domain from the dropdown list (e.g., areyqd.mailer91.com).

  3. Click "Download our CSV Template" if you need a sample format for your file.

  4. Prepare your CSV file by ensuring the correct format:

    • Column 1: Email addresses to be unsubscribed.

    • No empty rows or unnecessary data.

  5. Click "Upload" and select your CSV file.

  6. Confirm the upload and wait for the system to process the list.

Step 3: Verify the Uploaded Recipients

  1. Once uploaded, check if the recipients appear in the Unsubscribed List.

  2. Use the search bar to look for specific email addresses.

Important Notes:

  • Files should not contain empty rows or unnecessary data, as this will cause incorrect formatting.

  • Duplicate recipients will not be added again to the list.

Additional Options:

  • Manually Add an Unsubscribed Recipient: Click "Add Recipient" and enter the email address.

  • Export List: Click "Export" to download the existing unsubscribe list.

  • Remove an Email: If an email was mistakenly unsubscribed, contact click on action button checkbox and initiate request to resubscribe for assistance you can reach out to [email protected].

Troubleshooting

  • Ensure the file is in CSV format and follows the correct structure.

  • If the upload fails, verify that there are no empty rows or formatting errors in the file.

  • Contact MSG91 Support if the issue persists.

This process ensures compliance with user preferences and prevents sending emails to unsubscribed recipients.
