Phonebook

Follow these simple steps to add contacts to a group:

1. Click on SMS from the Dashboard.

2. Click on the Phonebook on the sidebar of the panel. Create a new group by clicking Add new Group option under it.

3. Type the group name you wish to choose and click on the + icon.

4. Click on Add Contacts.

5. You can add manually from Add a Contact or click on Import.

6. Click on Import Contacts and upload your Upload CSV file.

7.  Now, enter the group name in the top field, select the category of all the columns and click on Finish Import.

Go through the following steps to add a group:

1. Go to SMS from the Panel. Select Phonebook from the sidebar of the SMS panel and click on the Add new group option.

2. Type the group name you wish to choose and press ENTER.

3. You may add contacts individually by filling in the details or by directly importing a CSV file of your stored contacts.

Also, there is no limit on importing contacts. You may import any number of contacts in one go. 

NOTE: The only restriction is that the file size should be limited to 20 MB.

To send SMS to selected numbers you need to follow these steps:

1. Select any group from which you wish to choose numbers from the Phonebook section in the SMS panel.
   
   

   

   
   

2. When you get the list of contacts, check the box beside them to send an SMS to them. Click on the option of Send SMS on the right side of the screen. All your selected numbers will be displayed and you can type and send your SMS on those.
   
   

EXPIRY DATE OF NUMBER

1. Select any group from the Phonebook section from which you wish to choose numbers.
   
   

   

2. Click on the Edit option beside the contact you wish to set the expiry date for.

 3. Set the expiry date of your choice in the field and save changes.

Note that you cannot set the current date as the expiry date. 

Steps to delete selected contacts from a group:

1. Open the group from which you wish to delete the contacts from the Phonebook section in the SMS panel.
   
   

   

   
   

2. Checkmark/select the contact that you wish to delete and click on the "Delete Contacts" button given at the top bar.
   
   

   

Note: You can also Move or Copy these selected contacts to another group by simply using the "Move To" and "Copy To" buttons given at the top bar. 

Surely, you can. Here are the steps to copy/move selected contacts from one group to the other:

1. Select the group from which you wish to choose numbers from the Phonebook section in the SMS panel.
   
   

   

   
   

2. Checkmark/select the contact that you wish to copy/move. Click on the "Copy To" or "Move To" button at the top bar to select the groups to which you wish to copy or move the selected contacts.
   
   

   

   
   

3. Press Done if you are copying the contacts, moving contacts will only need you to select the group. 

Contacts have been copied/moved successfully. :)

 EXPIRY DATE OF NUMBER

1. Select the group.

2. Click on the Edit option beside the contact.

     3. Set the expiry date of your choice in the field and save changes.

Note that you cannot set the current date as expiry date.

You can export your existing phonebook data from the SMS section and upload it on Segmento. 

To do so follow these steps - 

Click on the phonebook section from the sidebar then select the name of your group.

 Once done click on the export group option and your file will be exported.

Now you can Import your file, Once the file is imported you then need to map your elements as per your requirement.

Here are the steps to delete a group from your MSG91 phonebook:

1. Open the group that you wish to delete.

2. Click on the "More" button given at the top bar.

3. Now click on the "Delete Group" button from the drop-down menu and the group will be deleted. 

Here are the steps to export contacts from your phonebook group:

1. Open the group that you wish to export.

2. Click on the "More" button given at the top bar.

3. Now click on the "Export" button from the drop-down menu and the download shall start.
