MSG91 uses a prepaid model for WhatsApp messaging.
You must add credits in advance to your WhatsApp subscription to start sending messages.
The prepaid balance is reserved only for WhatsApp.
You can recharge this balance from your MSG91 wallet to a specific WhatsApp subscription.
Credits are deducted based on:
Type of conversation (Marketing, Utility, or Authentication)
Recipient's country
If not used, the balance will carry forward to the next month.
You can monitor usage and remaining balance directly from your MSG91 dashboard.
How to Add Prepaid Balance for WhatsApp Services in MSG91
Once you subscribe to WhatsApp services, you will see the option to add prepaid balance in your MSG91 dashboard.
Click on the ‘+’ (plus) icon to add credits specifically for WhatsApp usage.
A pop-up will appear where you can enter the amount you want to add.
The added balance is reserved exclusively for WhatsApp services.

How Auto-Renewal Works:
To avoid service interruptions due to low prepaid balance, you can enable Auto-Renewal for your WhatsApp subscription.
Click on the pen icon to enable auto-recharge.
When enabled, your prepaid balance will be automatically topped up once it falls below the specified threshold amount.
This ensures that your WhatsApp services remain uninterrupted.


What is threshold limit
The threshold amount is the minimum balance required in a prepaid account. If the remaining balance drops below the limit, the account automatically recharges with a set amount to ensure its stays funded enough, This prevents any problem caused by running out of balance.
From the options given below, you can add the threshold amount which will be the minimum amount and recharge of amount which you will add to "recharge amount "
