WhatsApp number deletion on MSG91

If you have integrated the WhatsApp Business API but still wish to use the same number on your phone, we have a solution for this. By using the WhatsApp Business App, you can use the number on your phone while also continuing to send messages via APIs. You can simply add the number again through WhatsApp Business (Co-Ex Onboarding).
If you wish to migrate the number to another platform, there is no need to delete the number from MSG91. You can simply disable 2FA and proceed with the migration. Additionally, please cancel your subscription plan on MSG91 to ensure that you are not charged further.
If you intend to use the number for personal purposes, you can cancel your submission and start using the number directly on your phone.
Note: In all the above scenarios, there is no requirement to delete the WhatsApp number from MSG91. Please note to cancel the subscription to avoid any charges.
Now, we have provided the option to delete the number from your MSG91 account itself, below are the steps:
Login to your MSG91 account » WhatsApp » Numbers » Navigate to Delete icon » Delete.
After number deletion your Subscription plan will be ended and any amount available in the prepaid wallet of WhatsApp will be transferred to the main wallet of your MSG91 account.
Deleting number from MSG91 doesn’t mean that number is removed from META, you need to remove the same from your Meta business page by following steps:
Go to Meta Business Settings (business.facebook.com).
Select your WhatsApp Accounts.
Choose the WhatsApp Business Account (WABA).
Click WhatsApp Manager.
Go to Phone Numbers.
Select the phone number you want to remove.
Click Settings (or the three-dot menu).
If available, click Delete or Remove Phone Number and confirm.
