Below are the additional configuration options available under the WhatsApp Number settings in the MSG91 panel.
1. Retry Failed Messages
When this option is enabled, the system will automatically retry all failed messages after 7:00 AM.
Messages will be retried for the following failure reasons:
131026 – Message undeliverable
131026 – Receiver is incapable of receiving this message
131049 – Message not delivered to maintain a healthy ecosystem
This feature helps improve delivery rates by reattempting messages that failed due to temporary or recoverable issues.
2. Auto Template Disable (Beta)
When this option is enabled, the system will automatically stop sending a template if Meta changes its category from Utility to Marketing.
This helps businesses maintain compliance and avoid unintended marketing message charges, without requiring manual monitoring or intervention.
3. Call Settings
Enabling this option activates WhatsApp calling for your business number. Once enabled, a call button will be visible within customer chats as well as on your business profile, allowing users to directly place calls to your registered WhatsApp number.
#Additional Call Settings
You can further customize how and when customers are able to call your business by using the advanced call configuration options:
Call Icon Visibility – Choose whether the WhatsApp call button should be displayed or hidden for customers.
Weekly Operating Hours – Set day-wise business hours by defining opening and closing times. Customers will only be able to place calls during these configured time slots.
Holiday Schedule – Specify dates and time ranges when calling should be unavailable (e.g., public holidays or special closures).
These controls help you manage call traffic efficiently and ensure customers can reach your business only during your defined working hours.
4. Preview URL
When this option is enabled, a preview of links included in the message will be displayed to the recipient. This enhances message presentation by showing a clickable link preview within the chat.
