1. Your WhatsApp Number Must Be on MSG91 and Your Number Must Be Approved for 1000+ Messages Per Day

This is the starting point. To activate WhatsApp Voice, your number needs to be:

  • Your number must be connected to MSG91’s WhatsApp Business API.

2. Customers Must Message You First to Unlock the Call Option

Calls aren’t open to everyone. The call option only appears for the customer after they’ve sent you a message on WhatsApp.

On WhatsApp, inbound and outbound calling are both possible.

Customers must call you first — only then can you call them back(outbound).
